I’m Mariam, a creative who does things in travel, art, and spirituality. I’m a calligrapher, passionate traveler, architect enthusiast, and educator. In short, a free-spirited soul learning to live and learn boundlessly.
For as long as I can remember, I’ve longed to see the world and create a life that allowed me to combine my love for art and spirituality, culture, and world history. There’s so much to the world, and it’s worth taking the time to get even the slightest glimpse of what’s on the other side.
After graduating from college in 2017, I moved to China to work as an English Teacher. I never quite imagined myself living abroad or being a solo female traveler. That’s to say, you never know where life will take you, and it’s alright to take the unconventional route.
Much of my journey has become about rediscovering history, redefining myself, and a spiritual awakening to a world so vast. I’ve created some of the most extraordinary experiences during my travels, and they are constant reminders of how self-empowering, humbling, and educational it is to move past your comfort zone. Being in the unknown is indeed daunting, but it’s also what makes life so fruitful.
After almost 4 years of living and traveling abroad, in the summer of 2022, I decided to return to the States to be with family. This doesn’t mean my travel journey has ended but has expanded into something greater and a lifestyle I’ll constantly work to have access to.
Whether you choose to leave the comforts of home long-term, solo travel, or none of the above, I hope I can leave you with the slightest bit of desire to explore and dab into new spaces that unlock the most boundless parts of you.
